My 850 has done 2000 miles in 1 year, took it out today after several weeks in the garage not turned a wheel for a couple of months, The weather was spot on and it pulled like a train, BREAKING JESUS could hardly hold on the steering !!!!!!!wheel vibration!!!!! Its due a service next week, I'd to loved go with some knowledge as to why! Thanks in advance Dan

probably Flat spots on the tyres from standing..if it is youll need to replace the tyres affected.

I would expect the vibration to be there all the time if it was flat spotted tyres, although it would definately be much much worse under braking so it could well be the tyres. The only other thing which springs to mind is you might have patches of corrosion on the disc where the pads have been close to/touching the disc while the car was parked up too. If that's the problem they may go away with use or you may need to get the disc skimmed. Cheers, John

sounds like a classic case of warped discs. My first T5 had them and my T5R had them.

If it was flat spots on your tyres then you would hear and feel them as you were driving along the road. If it only happens when braking, then as has been said, highly likely it is the non corroded parts of your discs which have been covered by the pads as the car sat stationary. My discs rust up after just a few hours when wet.
