Information sought, I have an XC90 Sport, 2007 LHD purchased in France. The turning circle on this model leaves a little to be desired to say the least, does anyone know if it's possible to decrease the turning circle ? Many vehicles prepared for certain countries have the steering range limited, for example the L200 Mitsubishi, a visit to a UK dealership and the limit can be adjusted to improve the limitations imposed. French dealerships will not change the orginal settings. Any comments.

Having had a Citroen C5 estate before the XC90 my experiences are the opposite because the C5's turning circle was dreadful. I have actually been quite impressed with the XC90's turning circle, so I suppose it does depend on what you have become used to.

I haven't driven an AWD but if it is any worse then you guys must have big problems! It gets tight for me even on the big wide roads out here! I'll see if I can find out. 2WD is standard on most/all US/Jap SUV's and trucks out here with 4WD as an option - Volvo is unique among Euro manufacturers though in offering a 2WD version - only on the 3.2 mind. I think the US is an important enough market for them to do that. It would be interesting to see the figures, but I think I see more XC90's around here than X5's, Touaregs, Rangeys etc. although all are quite popular, especially among expats. Not as popular as the indigenous behemoths from Ford/GM and the Japanese supertankers from Toyota and Nissan (pronounced Neeess-on) however!
