Hi Everyone. Complete newbie here who's just joined VOC and am planning some much needed TLC for my 1991 240 SE. I'm looking at getting a stainless steel exhaust from sterling exhausts with their discount as in the current magazine it makes it daft to not get stainless. Does anyone have any experience of their exhausts? Are they any good, anyone know what the weight of the steel is? Cheers Angie

Found this on the website they didn't mention anywhere ;) All of our products are manufactured to the highest standards from 304swg stainless steel boxes, and 409swg stainless steel pipe work. That's pretty heavy weight pipe isn't it? Tip when trying to find a website for a company try searching for their phone number in your favourite search engine... hardly ever fails ;)

If your car has a 2.3 engine I would suggest getting a Jetex sport system. They are aluminised steel (whatever that is!) but they last for years. They are not the 'boy racer' type that make the car roar. They will actually do the opposite. Seems to help the engine breathe easier and improve performance.

Hi Folks, I fitted a stainless steel exhaust to my Saab 96 V4 and was disappointed that overall it was quite a bit noisier due to the steel being thinner and more resonant. Regards, Checkpoint Charlie
