Anyone know of any good garages that would service / MOT my 1999 V40 in the Glasgow area? Had been using the main Volvo dealer in the area - Taggarts, but fed up with getting ripped off cost-wise.

Volvomax in Springboig, independent volvo specialist. This is the number but don't expect to get through right away, I'll be surprised if you do. 0141 774 5238 and 774 7770. I have had nothing but great service from Dougie and his band of merry mechanics. He MIGHT be able to sort you out with a loan car while yours is in.

Have used Volvomax Glasgow and they did a good job for about half the price of the main dealer .

They can be very busy and sometimes you need to call, call, call till they answer it. The phone is almost always busy. Don't let this put you off though, they are a great garage. Good luck

Any updates on this Garage, they seem great but the thread is from 2008!
