Hi bud I use to run Toyo proxy3s on my M5 , i would say there a good tyre for the price, soft compound which meant good /ok road holding but wore down a tat faster than i would of liked, Avon zz3`s were another a used , but found they tram lined but then i was running 285 35 18`s on the rear and 245`s on the front , your Volvo could be fine with them, as other than the tram lining they were a all round great tyre, next would be Goodyear F1`s run these on my Aero first class in my book A lot depends on how much you want to spend, but all the above are good all round road going tyres in my option

I have Pirellis on mine, and have been on for about 15k now. I only checked them this week and still have 5-6mm left. So I'd say they're good for 20k if you don't throw it around too much. I'd probably have them again, they're not too noisy and they've gripped adequately when I've pushed them.

Pirelli P zero's on my T5-R Estate. Wearing well but I drive like a pipe-smoker.

Eagle F1 GDS3's or the new Eagle F1 Asymettric if you're after the best wet weather performance - although you will have to keep in mind if you slap them on the front and have P6000's on the back you will have much more wet weather grip on the front than the back which could get hairy. Toyo Proxes T1-R's are good too and usually cheaper but they don't have the bite the F1's do in wet conditions. Personally I'd put the new tyres on the back if you're going to upgrade from the P6000's. Cheers, John

I use Toyo T1s on my 2.5l 10v mostly round town and get though a front set every 10k...excellent grip but they do wear when you're constantly stop/starting. I would consider the Goodyears (never had them), but Conti Ecocontacts wore really quickly, and P6000s didnt grip in the wet.

I have Bridgestone Potanza's all round on my T-5R and cant fault them. Really good grip when cornering but quite a soft tyre. Just removed Avon ZZ3's from my C70 and they were also good. Replaced them with Khumo's and not overly impressed with them, Have had the back skip out with them on! Had Good Year Eagle F1's on a previous 850 and still one of the best tyre's I have used.
